Good afternoon,
I just started using the Intermec sf51 in a truck loading position, do you know of a way to program the scanner to refuse specific barcodes? our shipping
application generates UPS tracking number such as 1z381.. or 1z152… and
it would be great for the scanner to be able to only accept 1z381… for
example on a specific truck and reject by beeping or showing the red LED for
any other readable barcode, for example 1z152…
Thank you for your time,
Gino
Hello Gino
do you know EasySet, Intermec’s Scanner configuration windows application? With this you have the option to define DataEdits where you can define patterns of barcodes to accept or modify.
BTW: The Intermec developer community at community.intermec.com is a great place for this type of questions.
Have a nice day
Josef
Josef,
you were helping me on experts-exchange about the ping program. I think the tool I was describing could help my staff and a bunch of people I know in the industry. Do you know how to program for Droid, iphone and blackberry as well? Maybe we can make this app and I could sell it to my friends to recoup your costs. What would something like that go for? I know some people who have created iphone apps, so I can reach out to them if you don’t know or don’t have the time.
Thanks again for your help..
Kacey
I mainly do Windows Mobile programming and a bit Android, no iPhone.
I will make the PingAlert for Windows Mobile and will publish it here in my blog including source code. I assume there are already Android and iPhone apps out there, I have to do some research on this.
Edit 1: for android see here for example: http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/web%20site%20ping%20monitor
Hello Josef,
I need some consulting regarding programming (and its interaction with my hardware development) on the CN3. Are you available for paid consulting?
Thanks,
Fred
Sorry,
but I cant offer paid consulting, it would interchange with my job.
